  • Name — used to personalise your account and any transfer invitations you send.
  • Email address — used for authentication, service notifications, and transfer invitations.
  • Vehicle data — make, model, registration number, VIN, mileage, and any dates you enter (MOT, service, tax).
  • Service records — descriptions, dates, costs, and garage details you log.
  • Uploaded documents — invoices, receipts, and photos you attach to records.

2. How we use your data

We use your data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the CarLocker service. Specifically:

  • To display and organise your vehicle service history.
  • To send reminders for upcoming MOT and service due dates.
  • To process history transfers between owners at point of sale.
  • To send transactional emails related to your account or transfers.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your vehicle or service data for advertising or marketing to third parties.

3. How long we keep your data

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information and vehicle records within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).
